Fairfax County Sheriff special election + Details for Cuccinelli fundraiser
Fairfax County Sheriff Stan Barry has resigned, so there will be a special election to replace him on Election Day, November 5th. Last week, the Fairfax County Republican Committee nominated 26-year Fairfax City police department veteran Bryan “B.A.” Wolfe for Sheriff.
Wolfe is a decorated retired officer who was twice named Policeman of the Year, as voted by his peers, and was named Policeman of the Month six times. He was named a sergeant and served in that role for nine years before giving up that rank to go undercover with the Fairfax County Police Department’s Organized Crime and Narcotics Division for three years. Prior to joining the police, Wolfe graduated from Robinson Secondary School, and served for four years in the United States Air Force as an MP. He lives in Clifton with his wife and five children.
Wolfe is seeking to improve ethics and transparency in the sheriff’s office, and has pledged to donate his salary to charity if elected. He faces Democrat Stacy Kincaid in the special election.
The 2011 sheriff’s race was very close, so we will work hard to elect Wolfe in 2013. We are very excited to have this well-respected policeman as our nominee, and we look forward to electing him on November 5th!
