In 2014, there will be federal elections for the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. With Jim Moran’s retirement, and the fact that Mark Warner was a deciding vote for Obamacare, this year’s elections are an important and exciting opportunity for Republicans here in the 8th District.
There will also be some local elections. Arlington County will have general elections for County Board and School Board in November. There may also be special elections in other localities.

The 2014 Virginia Republican Convention was held on June 7th, 2014. The Convention nominated Ed Gillespie for the United States Senate.
Important Dates – 2014 Elections
October 14, 2014: Voter registration deadline for the general election.
October 28, 2014: Deadline to apply for a mailed absentee ballot.
November 1, 2014: Deadline to vote absentee in person.
November 4, 2014: Election Day.
