2024 is a big federal election year in Virginia. We will be voting for President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House. This is the year to defeat the Democrat trifecta of Joe Biden, Mark Warner, and Don Beyer!
2024 Republican Presidential Primary in Virginia
Virginia’s Republican presidential primary will be held on March 5, 2024. You may vote on election day at your regular polling place from 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Early in-person voting will be open from January 19 – March 2. If you want to vote early in person, you must do so at a location in your county/city. Early voting locations & hours for the presidential primary are as follows:

Absentee (mail) ballots for the Virginia presidential primary can be requested now through February 23, 2024. Click here to request an absentee ballot.
2024 8th District Republican Convention
The biennial 8th District Republican Convention will be held on April 11, 2024. At the convention, delegates will vote on the following:
- Chairman of the 8th District Republican Committee
- 3 Members of the Republican Party of Virginia State Central Committee to represent the 8th District
- 1 Elector to cast the 8th District’s vote in the Electoral College if the Republican presidential nominee wins Virginia
In order to vote at the convention, you must file to be a delegate with your county/city Republican committee. Details are available on the 2024 Convention page.
2024 Republican U.S. Senate + U.S. House Primary in Virginia
The Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Virginia as well as the primary for the 8th District Republican nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives will be held on June 18, 2024. You may vote on election day at your regular polling place from 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Early voting will open on May 3, 2024 and run through June 15, 2024. Early voting locations and hours will be posted as they are announced.
