2024 is shaping up to be a big year in Virginia and across the nation!

This year, Virginia will have elections for President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House. Joe Biden, Tim Kaine, and Don Beyer are all running again and form a trifecta of Democrats pulling Virginia and the country to the far left.

The Republican presidential primary in Virginia will be held on March 5, 2024. Early and absentee/mail began January 19, 2024. Request an absentee ballot here.

The Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Virginia will be held on June 18, 2024. Ten candidates have filed thus far to challenge Tim Kaine.

The 8th District Republican Committee will determine the method of nomination for the U.S. House. Details will be published here after the vote is taken. If you are interested in running for the Republican nomination for the 8th District, please email Andrew Loposser at chairman@vagop8cd.org.

Our biennial convention will be held sometime in the spring to elect a Chairman of the 8th District Republican Committee; three members of the Republican Party of Virginia State Central Committee; and one presidential elector to cast the 8th District’s vote in the Electoral College if the Republican presidential nominee wins Virginia.
