Announcing Retire Jim Moran Weekends!
The 8th District Republican Committee is aggressively promoting our RetireJimMoran.com website. We have made bumper stickers (which are such a huge hit we had to order more!) and just started an ad campaign on Facebook. Now, we are very excited to announce the newest project of the 8th District GOP, Retire Jim Moran (RJM) Weekends!
The committee is in the process of ordering RetireJimMoran.com yard signs. For our RJM Weekends, we will be placing these signs along well traveled roads over selected weekends. These signs will broadcast our theme for the 2010 campaign and double as advertising for the RetireJimMoran.com website. It will show voters in the 8th District that we are putting up a fight and will retire Moran with their help.
There’s a lot of ground to cover, so we will need lots of volunteers to help! The first RJM Weekend will probably be in July once we have the signs ready. We will send more information as we decide on it. Please keep this project in mind, we will need lots of help!
Also, once we get the yard signs they will be available to put in your own yard.
In the meantime, the bumper stickers are available here or at various 8th District meetings. It may take awhile to get your sticker because we are ordering more, but we will get it to you as soon as possible!
RJM is also on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. In addition to that, you can subscribe to RJM to receive an email each time a new post is made. You can sign up on the right side of the page on RetireJimMoran.com. You can also add the RSS feed to your browser.
Thank you for your support, and please continue to spread the word about RetireJimMoran.com!
I really like the effort you are making with the “retirejimmoran.com” website and yard signs. I agree he has got to go. But has it ever occurred to you that in order to do that maybe you should mention the candidate running to do so, Patrick Murray. Getting rid of Moran is going to take a lot of votes and convincing/educating swinger voters about who the alternative is. Someone has to represent the 8th district and unfortunately Moran isn’t going to just retire. Someone has to fill the void and right now the only choice other than Moran is Murray. So spread the word, Retire Jim Moran – VOTE FOR PATRICK MURRAY.
As a Democrat who believes Jim Moran needs to be fired, I have made a concerted effort to find a candidate who embrases issues that are important to me.
I have tried to embrase Mr. Murray and his campaign, despite his failure to connect with constituent requests for information. He is surely too busy campaigning to find time to respond to constituent questions.
FYI,
I contacted Ron Fisher with a request for the same information, about issues and policies that are important to me, and he responded back (a first in this campaign). His attention to potential constituent concerns and willingness to openly discuss his position has led me to a decision to vote for him in the upcoming election.
Good and effective communication is an essential tool to get peoples attention and precipitate a positive response, in this case votes.
