It’s the day political junkies have been waiting for, because the Virginia redistricting proposals have been released. Redistricting is a process mandated by the U.S. Constitution to change legislative and congressional districts based on the results of the Census to ensure proper population balance.

The congressional and Virginia House and Senate redistricting proposals are available at the Division of Legislative Services’ Redistricting site.

The General Assembly will convene to review the plans in April.
