Five major upcoming events
First, thank you to all who attended the Alexandria GOP Reagan-Lincoln Dinner. Over 100 people were there and RPV Chairman Pat Mullins fired up the crowd with his report on the 2011 elections. Thank you to Alexandria GOP Chairman Brenda Hankins and events coordinator Maria Ciarrocchi for organizing the event! Also, thanks to those who attended the Colonial Republican Women’s Club Membership Tea with Fred Grandy and Catherine Mann, and Nancy Linton’s campaign kickoff.
The excitement continues into the next few weeks as we have five major events coming up.
This Thursday, March 31, the Fairfax County Republican Committee is holding a fundraiser with Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli. Proceeds from the event will benefit the FCRC’s extremely important 2011 election efforts. Cuccinelli will update us on his work, especially his health care lawsuit. It is being held at P.J. Skidoo’s Restaurant, 9908 Fairfax Boulevard in Fairfax with a VIP reception at 7:00 pm and a general reception starting at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $30 for individuals, $65 for families (three tickets), and $15 for students. Sponsorships are available at $100 and $250. The event is almost sold out, so reserve your tickets here!
On Friday, April 1, the Northern Virginia Republican Business Forum is holding a breakfast featuring Rep. Scott Rigell of the 2nd District. It will be held at the Tower Club, 8000 Towers Crescent Drive in McLean (across from Tysons Corner Center). Coffee and networking will start at 7:15 am and the breakfast will start at 7:45 am. Tickets are $30 for NVRBF members and $35 for non-members with sponsorships at $100. You can get tickets here.
Next, the Republican Party of Virginia‘s Reagan Centennial Dinner featuring commentator and son of Ronald Reagan, Michael Reagan. The event is this Saturday, April 2 at the Downtown Richmond Marriott Hotel, 500 East Broad St. in Richmond. It will start with a VIP reception at 6:00 pm, a general reception at 6:30 pm, and the dinner beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $60 and sponsorships start at $1,000. Proceeds will benefit the RPV’s statewide election efforts. You can get tickets here.
On Thursday, April 14, the Arlington County Republican Committee will host a fundraiser with Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates Bill Howell. Speaker Howell will talk about the most recent legislative session and the upcoming elections. It will be held at the home of Tom & Ann Hafer, 3805 North Harrison St. in Arlington beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $50 with sponsorships at $125 and $250. Get tickets here.
Finally, the Arlington Republican Women’s Club is holding a luncheon with U.S. Senate candidate Jamie Radtke. It will be held at La Cote d’Or Restaurant, 6876 Lee Highway in Arlington from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. The cost is $35; RSVP to Marcia Fioramonti at mfioramontirn@yahoo.com or 703-524-1804.
