UPDATE: You can get the results for the primary from the Virginia State Board of Elections here. The results will start appearing a little after 7:00 pm. Keep refreshing the page because they will be updated continuously every few minutes as votes are counted.
UPDATE: The State Board of Elections now has a very helpful “What Is On My Ballot?” tool to verify whether or not you need to vote in the primaries.
Primary day is today, Tuesday, August 23rd! There are primaries happening in the 36th Senate District, the 39th Senate District, and for Fairfax County Sheriff – see the post below for more information. Please be sure to confirm whether you live in a jurisdiction with a contested race – redistricting may have put you in one of the districts mentioned above or in a different one entirely.
Vote at your regular polling place. The polls are open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm.
You can get the results at the Virginia State Board of Elections website here beginning a little after 7:00 pm tomorrow.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. Be sure to go out and vote if you have a primary – let’s show the Democrats that we have the will and the momentum to win the November elections!
