Election Day is less than a month away, and there’s one week left to register to vote! The voter registration deadline is Monday, October 17. You can register in person at the following locations if you are in the locality (i.e., if you live in the City of Alexandria, register at that office):

City of Alexandria

You can also register by mail by filling out this application form and sending it to the appropriate office above (again, if you live in the City of Alexandria, you would mail it to the address above). Mail applications must be postmarked by October 17th.

To register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Virginia, be 18 years old on or before November 8th, have had your voting rights restored if you have been convicted of a felony, and have had your capacity restored if you have been declared legally mentally incapacitated.

Also, the Republican Party of Virginia has set up a very helpful absentee voting site at http://GOPabsentee.com.
