Last chance to vote absentee in Fairfax County!
Fairfax County residents: It’s down to the wire in the special election for Fairfax County School Board, and time is running out if you want to vote absentee. Check to see if you qualify to vote absentee before applying.
Vote absentee by mail:
The last day to apply for a mailed absentee ballot is this Tuesday 8/22 at 5:00 PM. You can apply for a mailed absentee ballot online at the following link:
https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation
Enter your information and click submit, then click “I want to apply for absentee voting” and continue on the next page. Make sure you select “2017 August 29 Special” as the election.
After applying, you should receive your ballot sometime this week. Then you need to return it to the county elections office by 7:00 PM on Tuesday 8/29. Postmarks will not count!
Vote absentee in person:
You can vote absentee in person now through Saturday 8/26 at the Fairfax County Government Center:

Election Day
Polls will be open from 6:00 AM til 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 29th. Vote at your regular polling place.
