2021 Elections
Virginia is one of only two states that holds elections every year. In 2021, we are working to make Virginia red again!
The good news: Ralph Northam is term-limited and will be leaving office. The bad news: The term limit doesn’t mean you can only serve one term, just that you can’t serve multiple terms in a row, so guess who’s back? Terry McAuliffe is running for the Democrat nomination.
We have several stellar candidates who have tossed their hats in for statewide offices: Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General.
All 100 House of Delegates seats are up for re-election this year.
There are also local elections in Alexandria City (mayor, city council, school board, sheriff, commonwealth’s attorney) and Arlington County (one council seat and one school board seat).
If you are interested in running for House of Delegates or a local office in Alexandria or Arlington, please contact Andrew Loposser at chairman@vagop8cd.org.
