From the Fairfax County Republican Committee:

I have just received word that after passing debt limit compromise legislation, the U.S. House of Representatives will adjourn for August recess later this evening.

While this is obviously a very important moment for the Country… it does mean that we will have to reschedule tomorrow night’s “FCRC Evening on Capitol Hill” with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor to sometime in mid to late September.

The Majority Leader’s office and the other members who committed to attend our event have assured me they are all confirmed for the rescheduled event.

I also want to assure you that we will honor all ticket sales and pledges for the rescheduled date in support of the Fairfax County Republican Committee. However, if you desire a refund, please let us know. We are also calling each of you personally to make sure that you have received this notification.

We will announce the rescheduled date ASAP. I am disappointed we had to postpone… but I think we all understand why the House will adjourn this evening. I want to thank each one of you for your patience and understanding. This amazing event will be even better in September!!!
