The Fairfax County Republican Committee’s Third Annual Evening on Capitol Hill is tomorrow, August 2nd, from 6:30-7:30 pm. They have assembled a star-studded lineup of congressional leaders: Reps. Eric Cantor (R-VA, House Majority Leader), Frank Wolf (R-VA), Peter Roskam (R-IL), Tom Price (R-GA), Mike Rogers (R-MI), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Robert Hurt (R-VA), John Shimkus (R-IL), and Adrian Smith (R-NE). Tickets are $50/person with sponsorships at $100 and $250. The event is at the Capitol Hill Club, 300 First St. SE in Washington DC, directly across the street from the Capitol South Metro station on the Blue & Orange Lines. You can RSVP here.

Chris Berg, Chairman of the Arlington County Republican Committee, announced this week that he is stepping down as chairman due to work commitments. He’s been a great leader of the committee — maintaining high levels of attendance at every meeting, recruiting new members to the committee, ensuring that the GOP always has a presence at local events, and actively recruiting top-quality candidates to run for office.  The committee under his and his team’s leadership continued to develop its precinct operations and added new features, like podcasts on key local and national issues.  Thanks to Chris for his leadership, dedication, and service to the Arlington GOP.
